I turned the corner on my way to Target and came across an unusual sight for the suburbs of Denver. A flock of geese was crossing the road in single file. I stopped my car about 100 feet away and decided to enjoy the sight and let them pass. They stretched from one side of the street to the other. Quite a parade. Shortly after I stopped a minivan came in the other direction going too fast. By the time the driver was able to brake he had come too close to the geese and they scurried quickly in opposite directions. The sight had been sublime and it reminded me to slow down during my busy day and enjoy what comes along. I just wish the other driver was of the same mindset. I felt like I was given a gift. Why was he in such a hurry?
